How We Verify Cleaning Companies

Every one of the 349 companies in this directory comes from Poland's National Court Register (KRS), and 152 of them carry the Verified Company badge — their VAT ID (NIP) is active on the government's White List of VAT taxpayers. Verification runs automatically and cannot be bought. Here is exactly where our data comes from, how reviews work, and what we deliberately refuse to do.

What does the Verified Company badge mean?

The Verified Company badge confirms that a company's VAT ID (NIP) is active on the White List of VAT taxpayers — the official register run by Poland's Ministry of Finance. The check runs automatically, and the date of the most recent verification is shown on the company's profile. Right now 152 of the 349 companies in the directory hold the badge.

An active VAT status means the company genuinely exists, settles its taxes, and appears in the state register with a current bank account. It filters out entities that have been struck off, suspended, or removed from the VAT register.

The badge is not a quality rating. It speaks to a company's legal standing, not to how well its crew cleans windows — judge service quality by customer reviews and a completed profile. The badge cannot be bought: it is granted solely by the automatic NIP check.

Where does our company data come from?

All 349 companies in the directory come from Poland's National Court Register (KRS). We import only businesses whose registered activity codes (PKD — the Polish equivalent of NACE codes) belong to the cleaning industry: 81.10, 81.21, 81.22, 81.23, 81.29, and 81.30 — from facility management and office cleaning to specialised cleaning and grounds maintenance. We track both the PKD 2007 and PKD 2025 classifications, so a marketing agency with a cleaning service tacked on will not make it into the directory.

The directory lists legal entities only — companies registered in the KRS. We do not publish sole proprietorships (JDG): their registration data counts as personal data, and Article 14 of the GDPR would require notifying each business owner individually. Rather than skirt the edge of the law, we limit the directory to entities whose registry data is public by definition.

The result: 349 companies across 115+ cities, organised into 14 service categories — from office cleaning to window washing and upholstery care. Browse the city list at Miasta, the full directory at Firmy, or a local sample: cleaning companies in Warsaw.

How do reviews work, and what is a Verified Customer?

Reviews are built on named invitations: a company invites a specific customer, and a review submitted through that invitation carries the Verified Customer label. That separates a first-hand account of a real job from an anonymous drive-by post.

Before publication, every review passes AI moderation, which screens for profanity, third-party personal data, spam, and content unrelated to the service. Moderation never judges whether a review is positive or negative — only whether it breaks the rules.

Under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), any review can be reported through a notice-and-action procedure. We handle every report, explain the decision, and companies can publicly reply to any review on their profile.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell ranking positions. Companies are ordered by objective criteria — verification status, profile completeness, reviews — never by payment. No package moves a company up the list.

  • We don't hide negative reviews. A review is removed only if it breaks the rules or the law (via the DSA procedure) — never because a company asks.

  • We don't write reviews for anyone. Not for companies, not for customers.

  • We don't charge for contact. Company contact details are shown directly — call or write with no middlemen and no commission.

How to report a problem or claim a company profile

If you run a company listed here, you can claim your profile free of charge: verification takes a NIP confirmation and a code sent to your company e-mail. Once claimed, you can add a price list, FAQ, and photos of completed jobs — complete profiles get chosen more often.

Errors in registry data, an outdated address, or a problem with a review can be reported via the form on the company's profile. Review reports are handled under the DSA — with a decision and a written justification.

The directory is operated by AB Invest Sp. z o.o. (VAT ID 5130261948). For typical market rates, see the cleaning price guide; for practical advice, the guide section.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Verified Company badge guarantee service quality?

No. It confirms the company's VAT ID was active on Poland's White List on the day of the check — meaning the business operates legally and settles its taxes. Judge quality by verified customer reviews and the completeness of the profile.

Why are there no sole proprietorships (JDG) in the directory?

A sole trader's registration data is personal data, and Article 14 of the GDPR would require notifying every owner individually. So we list legal entities from the KRS only — currently 349 companies with cleaning-industry PKD codes.

How much does it cost for a company to claim its profile?

Nothing. Claiming a profile and adding a price list, FAQ, and photos is free. All we require is NIP confirmation and a code sent to the company e-mail. There is no paid positioning in the directory.

Can a company remove a negative review about itself?

Not on request. A review comes down only when a DSA report shows it breaks the rules or the law. A company can always reply to a review publicly on its profile.

How often is the White List status checked?

The check is automatic, and the date of the last verification is displayed on every profile. If a NIP loses its active status, the company loses the badge.
